They keep children occupied, contained and entertained on set, keeping them out of the cast and crew's way. They may entertain with skills such as magic, balloon modelling, arts and crafts, theatre games etc. They can also prepare them for their scenes, practicing reactions and facial expressions, or just help to bring out a natural smile in each and every one of them.
