Funny Business was set up in 2007 by its two partners, Andy Boughtflower and Susannah Ford.
Both partners have a long and extensive knowledge of the entertainment industry. They have both been entertainers themselves for more than ten years, and therefore know what works well at an event and how to negotiate and get the best out of a performer.
Susannah also runs the performance side of Bassline Circus, and Andy was head creative director for more than eight years at The Ministry of Fun, and alongside this ran the children’s party company Baggy Pants Parties.
Both Susannah and Andy wanted to offer something more from Funny Business than it being just an agency. They constantly seek out new and different acts, and are able to offer well-thought out and bespoke ideas for any event. They can also produce or assist in producing events, are always more than happy to offer professional entertainment advice to those who need it, and can source or provide props, costumes and just about anything else too.
